Electric vehicles (BEVs) will replace all Internal Combustion Engined vehicles (ICEVs)at some point in the next 20 years.
The UK Government envisages banning sales of all new ICEVs by 2035. But given the transformation of the car industry from ICEV to BEV and the rate this is happening it is possible that almost all car manufacturers will stop building ICEVs by 2030 possibly earlier.
The main barrier to adoption of BEVs are range and cost. Range is improving and will improve, while prices of electric vehicles will drop dramatically in the next 2 years.
